Judging Career — from cows to canines
Having been on the Ohio State University dairy cattle judging team while in college, and then judging some dairy shows after graduation, it followed that I would want to resume my judging career, only this time with dogs.  In 1986 I was approved to judge Samoyeds, and am now approved by the AKC to judge the working and herding groups and Best-in-Show.  I have judged a number of Samoyed and other breed specialties, including the Samoyed National twice.  Outside of the USA I have judged in Taiwan and have judged the Spanish Samoyed National, the Canadian National Specialty, and Samoyed specialties in Australia and New Zealand in the summer of 2008.  I have also had the honor of judging the AKC Invitational in 2006, judging 5 breeds, including Samoyeds.
